Charlotte visited Warrington IKEA in Westbrook, the UK's flagship IKEA (opened in 1987).

Charlotte said:

"It's been great to learn about all the work that goes into that behind the scenes, and to see the new Covid-secure measures in action to keep customers and colleagues safe.

It was really interesting also to hear about the measures the company is taking to play their part in tackling the climate emergency, having been a leader in this long before words like "sustainability" became common usage, from recyclable cardboard pallets in logistics through to generating their own electricity for the store from solar panels on the roof.

In the midst of a generally fairly gloomy landscape in the retail sector, IKEA are hiring and, yes, the café is back open."
