Charlotte visited the National Defence Academy in Shrivenham as part of the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme.
The scheme involves an intense period of lectures, seminars and exercises to allow MPs to learn about and explore the security challenges that Britain faces, and the military capabilities needed to overcome them.
Charlotte is taking part in the Royal Air Force stream, in a nod to the town’s long history and association with the RAF.
Charlotte said: ‘I am excited to be taking part in this important scheme and want to use my platform as your MP to champion the armed forces.
Our area has an incredible history, through RAF Burtonwood and RAF Padgate and our local aerospace sector is key to current defence procurement.
Over the course of the year long scheme, I will share updates about what I am learning and how this helps shape my work including with our local armed forces community and veterans.’
