Charlotte spoke in the parliamentary debate on protecting tenants and leaseholders from unsafe cladding.

Charlotte said:

"I have heard from a number of constituents who are either leaseholders facing huge bills for remedial work, or parents concerned about their children getting on the housing ladder elsewhere- especially in cities where the cladding issue is particularly acute like Manchester and London.

This is all the more acute with people staying at home during lockdown. And with the current crisis in mental health, this is an additional contributing factor. We have had no action on this for three and a half years, the Government must address it urgently.

As a member of the APPG on Leasehold and Commonhold Reform, I will continue to work cross party to find solutions that keep residents (and their finances) safe."
