I attended an incredibly important joint meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Groups on Aesthetics & Wellbeing and Social Media. The meeting focused on body image, including the impact of heavily filtered images as well as breaches of advertising and health standards through the promotion of treatments such as Botox to under-18s.

We spoke about the need for greater restrictions on advertising for non-surgical cosmetics as well as the enforcement of existing and future regulations. As Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities and your MP for Warrington North I will continue to raise this issue and demand greater regulations and enforcement to deal with this very serious issue.
