The thrilling Tour of Britain was such a fantastic advert for our town, and it was so exciting to be able to be part of the day! I hope this will be an annual event increasing in popularity every year and I will be pushing to ensure that we capitalise on its success not only in regeneration of the town centre to accommodate more visitors and investment coming in, but in promoting active travel throughout the year - improving our road infrastructure and making picking up cycling easier for people of all ages and walks of life.

Congratulations to Ethan Hayter on his victory in this stage of the race, and everyone who was a part in making the day such a success - with a particular congratulations to Councillor Paul Warburton for having the vision to bring this incredible event to Warrington.
