Before a meeting with Cheshire Police Detective Superintendent Ball around tackling violence against women and girls, and rape and serious sexual offence (RASSO) cases, I was lucky enough to get a tour of the Museum of Policing in Cheshire.

Based in Warrington Police Station on Arpley Street, it is a fantastic local resource with some absolutely fascinating exhibits- including various seized weapons, historic uniforms, equipment and insignia. The volunteers, who were all former or future police officers, were incredibly knowledgeable about local history and how policing has evolved through the years. They also had some brilliant stories from behind the scenes, and it was an absolute pleasure to get to speak to them and get to share in their passion for the museum.
