Satnam, the company behind the proposals, has been battling to get its way on developing the site for 30 years. Rightly, Warrington Borough Council has repeatedly refused planning consent.
The Peel Hall site is totally unworkable as a housing development. It is a precious natural asset. A green space that is highly valued by the locally community. A green lung for our town. Green open spaces like these have so many benefits – for the environment and for the health and wellbeing of local people.
It is not right that developers are dismissing the views of local residents and attempting to press ahead with plans that would see the site lost to development.
Local people have fought tirelessly to save Peel Hall. As the newly elected MP for the area, I have pledged to do all that I can to help take this campaign forward.
