It was great to open up the Green Hydrogen conference, on the exciting opportunities for Warrington and the wider region as we build back better and greener from the pandemic, in Daresbury.

"Green jobs" can often be spoken about in very abstract terms, with politicians making promises for this or that many thousand green jobs in manifestos but without a clear plan to deliver them. Bringing together businesses, researchers and academics, and representatives of communities, we can co-operate to ensure that we have the best chance of realising our ambitions.

There's so much fantastic innovation happening locally- I even got to try out NanoSun's hydrogen bike!
