In a Parliamentary debate on 'Leaseholders and Cladding', Charlotte asked the Housing Minister about the support given to leaseholders who have been told to pay for remedial works to make their home safe. Charlotte stands up for leaseholders as a member of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Leasehold and Commonhold Reform.

Charlotte said:

"The principle here is simple. If somebody bought an item with inherent faults they shouldn’t be expected to pay for repairs. So leaseholders shouldn’t be liable for remedial works to make their home safe. I’ve heard from many Warrington North residents who are in this position and I will fight tirelessly to ensure they get a fair deal. A commitment from the Minister to partially help whilst talking about not signing ‘blank cheques’ is not good enough. Leaseholders deserve better."
