This year the Church of Ascension in Woolston is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
To help mark the occasion Charlotte attended a socially-distance coffee morning where she met Reverend Rebecca and members of the local community.
“It’s a particularly exciting time for the church, celebrating 50 years at the heart of the community in Woolston It was lovely to speak to some of the congregation who have been around from the start right through to some of their youngest members about what the church means to them.
“They’ve successfully secured heritage funding from The National Lottery and, although many of the events to mark their 50th year have had to be postponed due to Coronavirus, it’s great to hear about the plans they have for celebrating their history as well as their future.
“Our diverse faith communities are one of the things that makes Warrington North great, and I’m really grateful to The Reverend Rebecca Roberts and the community for such a warm welcome.”
