Charlotte marked ‘Back British Farming Day’! (9th September) by celebrating local farming in Warrington North.
” A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to spend time at Kenyon Hall Farm – it was fascinating hearing from Tod (whose family have been farmers at Kenyon Hall since before 1500!) about the support agricultural producers need and the specific challenges they’ve had to adapt to as a result of Covid as a business.
I’ve also met with other local farmers about how I can help with a broad range of issues they face.
I will always support the amazing farmers here in Warrington North, and as a member of Labour’s Shadow International Trade team will work to ensure that changes to trade mean our farmers aren’t undercut by cheap imports from overseas and we maintain high food standards for consumers.”
